Chetwynd Reservoir PRV Installation Contract

Irish Water recently appointed McGinty & O’Shea Ltd. to design and build a new pressure reducing system on the existing large diameter pipework at the Chetwynd reservoir site on the outskirts of Cork City. The works are required to facilitate the decommissioning of the 15 million gallons reservoir (constructed in the late 1970s and one of the largest and most critical serving the Cork Harbour and City Water Supply Scheme) prior to major remedial works being undertaken. The contract value is approx. €600,000 and the contract duration is approx. 6 months.
