The Project generally comprises the conversion of an exiting pier house into a public toilet for visiting tourist as they disembark at Spike Island, Cobh, Co. Cork.

Spike Island is designated as a National Monument, therefore we had to produce detailed method statements for all works undertaken and obtain approval before commencing the works to ensure that all works were executed in a manner that complied with the requirements and legislation for working on National Monuments Site.

Works included:

- Site clearance and demolition works

- Building conservation works including plastering and pointing with lime mortar, restoration replacement of hardwood windows and doors and re-tiling roof to match existing

- Construction of new packaged wastewater treatment unit and associated sand polishing filter bed

- M&E works
